Baby quilts 1 and 2 done! I am very excited as I have been battling to sew. I am putting in the hours but not feeling the drive. Which just goes to show that perseverance wins in the end.
My favourite patchwork with 30's style fabric. I love feedback backing! A meander over all the seam lines with my walking foot. Definitely my go to for quilting.
My go to pattern for charm square packs. The backing was in my stash. This was quilted with the same meander as above but not just in the ditch. Love how it turned out!
Two very different quilts and both are bound with blue houndstooth. Washed and dried.
Looking at my UFO completed block pile. Hmmm which project next.
I am going to be generous and call this 5 meters out of my stash! Win!
Quilting fun for family and friends!

Progress made
With the forced stash clean up last weekend a couple of quilt backs were brought to my attention. Or rather Martin's attention. Martin, bless his soul, said why don't you finish up the quilts. How do you explain to a non quilter about UFO's? Sigh.
1st found UFO, Terrain by Kate Spain. I cannot explain or reason why it is unfinished as I love this pattern, Stepping Stones, and I love Kate Spain's fabrics. Anyways progress made! Yeah!
All the HST's nicely trimmed. Ah, a stack of shavings always makes me giddy.
This quilt is more of a WIP than a UFO. And I love it. Brenda Riddle's Ambleside and an Attic Window quilt pattern. Looks like spring.
Of course it still looks like winter too. Collecting wood in the mud! What could be more invigorating.
And only 6000 steps, rip off!

One of those days
It has been one of those days, weekend really. I have had a burning desire to clean my quilt stash, the one in containers behind the couch in the lounge. That alone is very odd, I hate to straighten, love to make a mess, must be a new year's thing. You know all the posts on minimalism, keeping what you love, making way for the new. Or one of those Twilight Zone moments that come out of nowhere. Insert theme song. Nothing so grand for me, just needed to find a quilt back or two for the newly completed baby quilts. Moved my stash and the bottom of the containers was wet. EEK my stash! Martin of course was more concerned with his wall and carpet. Men and their priorities.
Two baby quilts completed. My favourite patchwork and a back.
And my current favourite "Merry Go Round" by Keepsake Quilting and its back.
EEK a coffee stain. Hope it washes out? At least its not red wine!
Before moving my stash I decided I did not like my log cabin as is. So chopped it up. I have a couple of variations that I quite like. What do you think?
Thought I would like it on point but I think this is my favourite.
And I am joining a Quilt Along. Saw it on Julie's blog Pink Doxies. If you have note seen her blog you should really pop in. She does wonderful work. It is the 150 Canadian Women Quilt Along. Here is my pull so far.
I am also going to participate in Canada's Big Quilt Bee. We will be making 1000 charity quilts for Ronald MacDonald house. Just need to purchase some Canadian fabric. This will be my charity quilt this year.
Except for the leak a very productive weekend.
