OMG - Done!

Done! And I love this quilt. The fabric is so boy, cute without being babyish. Love it. 2016 First Quarter Goal Done!
Was not sure about the quilting but I am so glad I went with the double grid. I am not sure what happened because I was planning one row of wavy lines over the seams. Half the work!
The binding is this fabulous stripe. Love the way is is carried from the quilt top. Always like a striped binding.
So glad this quilt is done and can now be gifted, and before his one year birthday too!

WIP Wednesday

I have a 3rd flimsy! Yeah!
This post was going to be all doom and gloom from no get up and go but I decided it needed to have a positive spin!

I am so grateful for the OMG, One Month Goal! I procrastinated like crazy but dug it out last night. Partially quilted, now I feel good!
The other positive is I bought no material this week!!!!!!! Yahoo!

Oh and I moved my fabric stash to Martin's house. I was a wee bit embarrassed to let him know how much fabric I had, okay a lot embarrassed. But I moved it anyways! The good news is it fit in the back of his small pick up truck, Now it is all in his kitchen, and he doesn't seem to mind.
Oh, the picture he took of the stash I had already snuck over. Subtle hint to clean up?

Fabric bought this week: 0, zip, zero, zilch
Fabric used this week: Asterix quilt 2 metres
Net to stash: -.5 + -2 = -2.5 January is looking good!

Oh and the positive spin really does help I am stoked!!!!

Some wonderful soul left flowers in our lobby. Looks like spring!

WIP Wednesday

This was going to be a short post, oops. I have started 4 baby quilts this week, I need 5, at least.

1 Owl HST baby quilt, needs to be quilted and bound. I am very pleased with this quilt as it used the left overs from my Asterix Quilt.

2 Sunnyside HST quilts. One quilt requires borders, quilting and binding, the other still needs to be sewn together. I am stalling on this quilt as I am not sure they look like baby quilts. I am very happy to be using my leftover charm squares but the idea I stole off blog had spectacular quilting to make it stunning. Did not fully think the idea through, just loved her quilts so much.

I have cut out my Valentine Quilt. Just love Pam Kitty Morning fabric! This quilt is for me! I am toying with the idea of having quilts for special occasions.

I also cut out my Shortcake quilt. Fabric is Wee Play by American Jane and the pattern is by Cluck Cluck Sew. This is so super cute!

Truck quilt needs to be ironed and stock taken. I started this quilt in the fall and am not sure where it is at.

Tula Pink Misdirection quilt needs some work too. I am trimming the flying geese and sewing it together. Note to self, make notes to self. I started sewing this together and got the pink and blue confused. Erg! Now I need to find fabric to make a couple more HSTs or figure something else out. Stall. This was for my granddaughters second birthday, last November.

Monkey brain! Cannot settle and am jumping from project to project, erg. I need to get some quilts finished.

I have added pictures to my FAL goals.

Fabric bought this week: 3.5 metres - backing and binding, on sale, couldn't find anything in my stash and 3 metres of white
Fabric used this week: 1 jelly roll (2.5 metres) of Wee Play and 1.5 metres of white for Cluck Cluck Sew pattern, Shortcake; 1 metre for Owl HST baby quilt, 2 metres for 2 Sunnyside HST baby quilts
Net to stash: -.5 metre, yay, at least I am going in the correct direction.

OMG - January

I have things I want to finsigh this month. As always I am having a hard time prioritizing.

I have a large list of UFO's and a smaller list of quilts that need to be finished this month. There are three baby quilts required this month in my office let alone for my new grandson.

Oh I have it! The baby blanket for the baby that was born in the summer. Yes lets get that done. It is totally buried in my room. eek!

  2. Christmas quilt - to quilt and bind
  3. Strawberry Fields quilt - started, not sure of where it is at
To start:

  3. Bunny quilt
January's goal is to make 4 baby quilts.
